  • Schedule: Part time, night shift, two shifts per week - 6:30pm - 7am

Use your EMT skills to work with patients in our Midtown Emergency Department! This position is not on a truck, but is in our ED supporting the nursing staff.

Responsibilities

Provide support treatment, care and evaluation of patients on scene and during transport.

  • Arrive to the scene of an emergency, determine the situation, and develop a plan of action.
  • Use appropriate medical equipment and comprehend the severity of the injury.
  • Monitor patient condition and perform data collection. Communicate findings and patient condition to primary Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Assist with the mobilization, ambulation and transport of patients.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Advanced Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Tennessee Emergency Medical Services Division obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
