MUSC Lancaster Medical Center seeks an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician to join a fast-paced Emergency Room team. You will perform ED tech duties under RN supervision, providing patient care and supporting the department with routine tasks.

Required: SC EMT license, BLS; preferred: ACLS, PALS, and experience with EKG, phlebotomy, and cardiac monitoring. This is a PRN, hourly role with 12 scheduled hours weekly and rotating shifts.

Qualifikationen

• SC EMT license required; AEMT preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS with AHA if unit required

Job Description

The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician performs duties of the Emergency Department Technician and other routine duties within the limit of their training and certification in caring for the Emergency Department patients. The care is rendered under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Additional responsibilities may be required.

Experience

Previous experience with EKG, Phlebotomy, and Cardiac Monitoring preferred.

License/Certification

South Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) required. Advance Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) required. Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) with American Heart Association (AHA), and NIHSS stroke scale with American Heart Association (AHA) if unit required
