Job summary

Qualifications

• Current NV Advanced EMT license.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Maintains professional competence through education and unit-specific training.
• Performs patient care under direction of a registered nurse and reports deviations from norm.
• Demonstrates ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and supports staff activities.
• Assists with patient prep for examinations and procedures per protocols.
• Manages unit clerk tasks, including computer order entry and phone handling, with appropriate prioritization and communication.
• Ensures a clean, orderly environment and maintains patient comfort and privacy.
• Performs phlebotomy with active Advanced EMT licensure and collects specimens accurately.
• Inserts peripheral IVs and ultrasound IVs as competency allows.
• Participates in committees and ongoing education to maintain skill awareness.
• Acts independently and makes decisions under stress.
