Honeywell Aerospace US LLC is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer within the NGA group to design, architect, and deploy cutting-edge Avionics Display System solutions for Anthem. You will work with a passionate team of engineers to develop forward-thinking software for Flight Display Systems and related avionics modules.

The role emphasizes embedded software development in C/C++, RTOS environments, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet demanding aerospace requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 4+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ software development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement robust, high-quality software solutions for Flight Display System platforms, services and/or applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design software architectures, and implement software modules.
• Engage in the full software development lifecycle from concept through deployment, ensuring software meets all functional and performance requirements.

As an Advanced Software Engr, within our Next-Generation Avionics (NGA) group, you will play an integral role in the design, architecture and deployment of cutting-edge Avionics Display System solutions. The Next Generation Avionics (NGA) Flight Displays Platform team is at the forefront of developing innovative solutions that enhance the situational awareness and decision-making capabilities of pilots. You will work closely with a passionate team of engineers and designers to create and implement forward-thinking software solutions for our cutting-edge Avionics Flight Display Systems.

As a flagship product, the Anthem Integrated Flight Deck System is not just another avionics product; it is a visionary endeavor that employs cutting-edge technologies to redefine how pilots interact with flight information and aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement robust, high-quality software solutions for cutting-edge Flight Display System platforms, services and/or applications, ensuring high performance, reliability, and functionality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define requirements, design software architectures, and implement software modules.
• Engage in the full software development lifecycle from concept through deployment, ensuring software meets all functional and performance requirements.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

• Strong proficiency in C/C++ software development.

WE VALUE

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
• Understanding various software development life cycles, methodologies and tools.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, etc
• Experience developing software in a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS)
• Experience in Embedded software development for aerospace, avionics , display technologies, or related industries is of value.
• Experience with Avionics products is of value i.e. Displays & Graphics, Flight Mgmt, Flight Planning, Flight Controls, Flight Displays (PFD), Traffic Collision Avoidance (TCAS), Crew Alert Messaging (CAS), Terrain, Radios, etc
• Experience operating in an Agile framework desired
• Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices.
• Can quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts.
• Exposure to Rendering methodologies (Vulkan/OpenGL/OGLX) is a plus.
