Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking an electro-mechanical technician to build and test electronics, electrical systems, and components to determine operability, and perform maintenance activities.

The role reports to the Plant Manufacturing Engineering Manager and works with Maintenance to resolve equipment issues. PLC programming, troubleshooting, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required, with a 2-year technical degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year technical degree required.
• PLC programming required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge and use of hand tools.
• Sound decision-making skills.
• Good math, reading, and writing skills.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Mental and visual acuity for production of quality product.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office package.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning circuits and wiring.
• Utilize testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters, ammeters, watt meters, etc.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment.
• Install and activate new equipment.
• General maintenance activities which may involve hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, steam and electrical.
