Job summary

Children’s Health in Plano, TX is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform advanced EEG and Long Term Video EEG monitoring across departments, including ACS, ED, and ICU settings. The role emphasizes independent judgment, patient safety, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

As part of Neurophysiology, you will engage in ongoing education, onboarding, and learning advanced intracranial EEG/EP techniques as needed, while ensuring high-quality neurodiagnostic recordings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience Neurodiagnostic Technology education preferred.
• Current Registry in EEG (R.EEG T.) by ABRET is required upon hire.
• Current Registry in Evoked Potentials (R.EPT) preferred.
• Current Registry or Registry eligible for Nerve Conduction Study preferred.
• Current Registry by the Board of Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform advanced neurodiagnostic procedures, including EEG and Long Term Video EEG monitoring across settings.
• Maintain safety, proper system settings, and effective communication with care teams, patients, and families.
• Mentor junior team members and adapt procedures to patient needs and environmental conditions.
• Pursue ongoing education in neurodiagnostics and complete competency check-offs as assigned.
