Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling Inc. is seeking a Diesel Technician B (Advanced Technician) to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy‑duty trucks, refuse vehicles, trailers, and equipment. You’ll perform preventive maintenance and collaborate with Master Technicians to expand your technical expertise.

The role requires 1+ years of experience, a basic toolset, and CDL/ASE certifications are a plus. OSHA safety standards and a team‑oriented environment are emphasized at Coastal.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience maintaining or repairing diesel trucks or heavy equipment.
• Basic knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and preventive maintenance.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Must provide and maintain a basic set of professional tools.
• ASE certifications, Brake Certification, Class A CDL; bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, steering, suspension, transmissions, and air brake systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections to maximize reliability of trucks and equipment.
• Repair and maintain refuse trucks, vocational vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Utilize diagnostic software and testing equipment to identify failures.
• Perform welding, fabrication and component repairs when qualified.
• Work alongside senior technicians and respond to emergency repairs as needed.
