Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform ultrasound exams and support physicians in diagnosis and treatment. The role emphasizes patient safety, high-quality imaging, and adherence to clinical protocols within a compassionate care environment.

Qualifications

New Mexico Sonography license is required.
ARDMS/ARRT/CCI certification required.
Current BLS required.
Must have one of the qualified modalities as initial licensure: AB/OB-GYN/BR/PS/RVT/RVS/AE/PE (as listed).

Responsabilités

Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography examinations following safety and infection control protocols.
Responsible for patient safety during the ultrasound examination.
Review patient history and supporting clinical information.
Ensure that the examination order is complete and medically necessary.
Evaluate contraindications and patient preparation to ensure tolerability and data quality.
Communicate with the patient clearly and ensure proper positioning and ergonomics during scanning.
Perform diagnostic sonography as ordered and acquire any additional images as needed.
Identify limitations and document preliminary findings.
Maintain patient privacy and adhere to HIPAA and facility policies.
