Mercy is seeking a Medical Assistant for our outpatient clinic in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The role supports physicians and staff in delivering patient care within established nursing standards, emphasizing compassionate, professional interactions and adherence to Mercy’s values.

Requirements include a high school diploma, MA Clinic Academy training, MA certification, and BLS for hospital outpatient settings. Prior outpatient experience is preferred; candidates must be able to lift and stand for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.
• Current Medical Assistants moving to Certified Advanced Medical Assistant title must complete MA competencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician and office staff with patient care activities.
• Communicate with patients, families, visitors and co-workers with a caring, professional approach.
• Perform related duties and maintain clinical documentation.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Knowledge of outpatient procedures and equipment and commitment to patient-centered care.
