Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; graduate of an accredited PA or NP program.
• PA or NP state license and ability to practice in California.
• Preferred 2–3 years of PA/NP emergency/urgent care experience.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Form differential diagnosis and home/alternative setting treatment plans within emergency medicine scope.
• Coordinate with House Call Coordinators and respond promptly during shifts.
• Perform medical evaluations and use home-based imaging for assessment.
• Keep provider bag stocked to prevent delays.
• Obtain clinical samples for point-of-care or lab testing.
• Perform IV access, phlebotomy, POC tests, IV meds and fluids, and EKGs.
• Document evaluation and treatment in Athena Health.
• Provide patient education with empathetic communication; address questions.

Advanced Care Provider - House Calls - $750 per House Call

In the role of an Advanced Care Provider (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner) you will provide concierge emergency medical care to Sollis Health patients in our clinics with the supervision/oversight of an attending Physician. This is a pivotal role as part of a growing organization providing seamless care to both adult and pediatric patients for cases that would usually be treated in a traditional emergency room.

NEW STAFFING AND PAY MODEL FOR ADVANCED CARE PROVIDER - $750 per house call

Sollis Health is hiring a per diem Advanced Care Provider who will conduct House Calls as needed on Sollis patients. This is a piece-rate pay model.

How it works:

• A Sollis patient needs a house call.
• You will receive a text message asking if you are available to see the patient within an hour.
• If you are available, you arrive to conduct the house call.
• You are paid based on how many house calls are needed.

Compensation:

• $750 per house call.

Responsibilities

• Formulating a differential diagnosis and treatment plan to occur in the patient’s home or other setting outside of a medical clinic setting for urgent and emergent care within the scope of emergency medicine.
• Coordinating with House Call Coordinators for House Call requests and responding to patient care house call requests timely while on shift.
• Performing medical evaluations and using the imaging studies done at home as part of the patient assessment.
• Ensuring the house call provider bag is properly stocked at all times to avoid delays in a house call.
• Obtaining clinical samples such as blood, urine or pharyngeal swabs that can be used to perform either point of care or lab-based diagnostic testing.
• Performing medical procedures that include obtaining IV access, phlebotomy, performing POC rapid tests, administering IV medications and IV fluids, and performing EKGs.
• Documenting your clinical evaluation and treatment in the electronic health record, Athena Health.
• Providing patient education and clinical guidance in a patient-friendly, service oriented manner. Patiently and professionally answering any questions they have and using patient-centered empathetic communication at all times.
• Interfacing with the patient's PCP and specialists to discuss your assessment and plan of care and to coordinate follow up care.
• Working closely with our Medical Director and other clinical team members to ensure all policies are adhered to and that you deliver quality care in an innovative setting.
• Coordinating additional care with our After Care team, beyond house calls, in one of our centers or with one of our Medical Partners.
• Cover shifts occasionally in Sollis' Flagship, Centers and Clinics should an urgent need arise.
• Performing related duties as requested.

Experience

We believe extraordinary people come from a variety of backgrounds, but ideally, we would expect that you have:

• Bachelor’s Degree, required. Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program, required.
• Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner state license and ability to practice in California State
• Preferred 2-3 years of Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner experience in emergency departments and/or urgent care centers
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required upon hire.
