Job summary

Sollis Health is expanding in Coral Gables and seeks an Advanced Care Provider (PA/NP) to deliver concierge emergency care in clinics and at-home visits under physician supervision.

The role is per diem (7a-3p or 3p-11p on weekdays and weekends, 2 shifts monthly) focusing on adult and pediatric patients with high-level clinical responsibility and exceptional patient service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and successful completion of an accredited PA or NP program
• Active Florida state license as Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner and ability to practice in Florida
• Prefer 2–3 years of PA/NP experience in emergency/urgent care settings and DEA license

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical evaluations and develop differential diagnoses and treatment plans for urgent and emergent care in clinics and home visits
• Perform procedures including IV placement, splinting, suturing, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and technicians to deliver top-quality, concierge-level care and manage handoffs to in-clinic providers

Advanced Care Provider (PA/NP) - Per Diem Days

Sollis Health has expanded to Coral Gables!

In the role of an Advanced Care Provider (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner) you will provide concierge emergency medical care to Sollis Health patients in our clinics as well as conduct concierge medical at home visits to Sollis Health patients and treat them accordingly, with the supervision/oversight of an attending Physician. This is a pivotal role as part of a growing organization providing seamless care to both adult and pediatric patients for cases that would usually come into an emergency department or clinic.

Per Diem - 7a-3p, 3p-11p weekdays and weekends - 2 shifts a month

Responsibilities

• Performing medical evaluations and formulating a differential diagnosis and treatment plan to occur in our facilities for urgent and emergent care within the scope of emergency medicine.
• Knowledge and experience with high level medical conditions such as: atrial fibrillation, supra ventricular, tachycardia, congested heart failure and acute abdominal pain with focal peritonitis, anaphylaxis, bronchiolitis, sepsis, complex pediatric patients, complex geriatric patients with multiple coexisting medical problems, advanced EKG interpretation, procedural sedation, joint reductions and ocular ENT emergencies.
• Performing medical procedures that include obtaining IV access and administration of fluids and medications, splinting, suturing, phlebotomy, performing POC testing, and performing EKGs.
• Working closely with a team of Physicians, nurses, and technicians to support you in providing care.
• Assessing and treating Covid-related cases which includes obtaining clinical samples to test for the virus, performing point of care testing , obtaining blood for antibody blood tests, providing general symptom management and recommendations.
• Clinical charting at a high level is imperative including detailed history of present illness, area specific physical exam, well thought out differential diagnosis, and treatment plan geared toward those specific diagnoses.
• Working closely with the Medical Director and other clinical team members to ensure all policies are adhered to and that you deliver top quality care in an innovative setting.
• Concierge care is central to Sollis Health, you will need skills in high level customer service, answering and attending to patients' needs at all levels, including their families and physicians' needs
• Professionalism at the highest level with patients, colleagues is imperative
• Coordinating additional care with our Care Coordination, and house calls teams or with one of our Medical Partners.
• Contribute to our overall success participating in related operational projects as needed.
• Ensuring there is a comprehensive transfer of responsibility for any pending labs or imaging to our in clinic providers at the end of your shift.
• Performing related duties as requested.

Experience

We believe extraordinary people come from a variety of backgrounds, but ideally, we would expect that you have:

• Bachelor’s Degree, required. Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program, required.
• Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner state license and ability to practice in Florida State
• Preferred 2-3 years of Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner experience in emergency departments and/or urgent care centers
• DEA license required
• ACLS, PALS certification required upon hire.
• Excellent clinical care and patient satisfaction in emergency department and urgent care settings
