Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a Sonography Program or minimum two years of supervised on-the-job training.
• CPR certification is required.
• Active credentialing in Adult Echocardiography is preferred or maintained.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate ultrasound equipment for diagnostic echocardiography.
• Perform adult and pediatric echo examinations and assist with TEE procedures.
• Consult with referring physicians on patient history and required procedures, and document cases for regulatory records.
• Verify charge code information in the Radiology Information System.
• Assist in scheduling Echocardiography workloads to optimize equipment and personnel utilization.
• Instruct ultrasound students and supervise junior staff during rotation and hospital procedures.
