Job summary

Inova Fairfax Medical Campus – Adult Echo Lab is seeking a dedicated Cardiac Sonographer 2 to join our nationally accredited echo lab. The role is PRN and involves advanced echo imaging with 3D and strain capabilities, teaching fellows and students, and contributing to clinical excellence and research.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in diagnostic medical sonography.
• ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS Echo, or ARDMS RVT or CCI RVS for vascular.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• At least 1 year of post-registry experience in cardiac/vascular sonography.

Responsibilities

• Recognize clinical/emergent problems affecting exams and communicate with physicians to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain IV contrast administration and ensure required supplies are ready.
• Identify patients and orders with high accuracy and maintain credentialing through continuing education.
• Ensure patient safety, document adverse conditions, and aseptically clean equipment.
