Job summary

Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee seeks an experienced Cardiac Sonographer to perform advanced echocardiography, including M-mode, 2-D, Doppler and color flow studies, and to assist in catheterization and EP labs as needed.

You will obtain clinical histories, tailor imaging protocols to patients’ needs, interpret data with physicians, and maintain the echocardiography lab ensuring quality, safety, and ICAEL standards while mentoring staff and students.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of sonographic principles and techniques.
• Proficiency in transesophageal and congenital echocardiography.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Excellent interpersonal and patient service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures and measurements.
• Assist physicians in Catheterization and EP labs as needed.
• Prepare patients and obtain clinical history for diagnostic echocardiograms.
• Communicate findings to staff.
• Maintain Echocardiography Lab equipment and report malfunctions.
• Develop quality processes with medical director and ICAEL accreditation support.
