Requirements include RDCS or RCS certification and Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire, plus one year of sonography experience. The role emphasizes collaboration with clinicians and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• RDCS or RCS certification is required or in process.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire date.
• One year of cardiac sonographer experience.

Responsabilités

• Performs advanced non-invasive imaging procedures for Cardiac Laboratories.
• Performs proper billing of procedures and prioritize patient scheduling.
• Coordinates and prioritizes patient scheduling to ensure timely procedures.
• Obtains information from patients prior to testing and explains procedures clearly.
• Notifies staff of abnormal findings and documents results in the chart.
• Calculates and measures cardiovascular structures to aid interpretation.
• Completes accurate documentation through EPIC for billing and records.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and unit information.
• Supports development of Cardiac Sonographer I through feedback.
