Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City in Leawood, KS is hiring Baseball Coach and Assistant Coaches for our advanced youth teams (ages 9-12). This part-time role involves coaching during weeknights and weekends, leading drills, and supervising players in games and tournaments.

Compensation ranges from $26 to $30 per 90-minute session, plus free individual memberships to The J and fitness facilities. Reliable transportation and a flexible schedule are required.

We are hiring reliable part-time staff to assist with practice/training sessions on weeknights and to coach games/tournaments on weekends, with a chance of weeknight games.

Essential Functions

• Lead and assist coach with baseball drills at practices and assistant coach in games for ages 9-12

• Head Coach provides clear and timely communication with parents and Assistant Coaches give positive communication and reinforce the coaches direction

Requirements

• Experience working with children preferred
• Experience as a coach/player is required
• Knowledge of baseball and its rules
• Able to work a flexible schedule
• Must have reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

• Constant standing, walking and exposure to the weather outdoors
• Frequent walking/running, eye/hand/foot coordination, talking and hearing to demonstrate and execute skills
• Occasional lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. to move equipment as needed
