Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of Greater KC is seeking enthusiastic Baseball Coaches to lead and assist with practices and games for ages 9-12. This part-time role requires knowledge of baseball, coaching or playing experience, and a flexible schedule to accommodate weeknights and weekend games.

Transportation is required, and a positive, safety‑minded approach is essential. Responsibilities include drills, equipment setup, supervising children, and clear communication with parents.

Description

The J is hiring enthusiastic and knowledgeable Baseball Coach and Assistant Coaches for our advanced teams.

This coaching staff will provide instruction and impart their knowledge of the game to young players ages 9-12. The J’s Baseball instructional program emphasizes skill development, self-discipline and safety and teaches the value of good sportsmanship. Experience as a coach/player is required.

Schedule

We are hiring reliable part-time staff to assist with practice/training sessions on weeknights and to coach games/tournaments on weekends, with a chance of weeknight games.

Essential Functions

• Lead and assist coach with baseball drills at practices and assistant coach in games for ages 9-12
• Help set up and tear down equipment

Physical Requirements

• Constant standing, walking and exposure to the weather outdoors
• Frequent walking/running, eye/hand/foot coordination, talking and hearing to demonstrate and execute skills
• Occasional lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. to move equipment as needed
