Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Hardware Design Engineer in Phoenix, AZ, joining the IFS org to design and validate high‑reliability hardware for next‑gen Anthem displays. You will lead hardware development, mentor engineers, and collaborate across software and systems teams on DO‑254‑compliant products.

The role reports to the Sr Engineering Manager and operates on a 3/2 hybrid schedule after an initial 90 days on site. Candidates must hold a U.S. work authorization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with hardware experience
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency due to export controls
• Strong schematic capture, testing methods and verification
• Knowledge of analog/digital circuits, signal integrity and power management
• Experience with aviation hardware standards compliance

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of advanced hardware from concept to production
• Define hardware requirements with cross‑functional teams
• Perform schematic capture, PCB design support and hardware validation
• Troubleshoot, debug and perform root cause analysis during development
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers
• Interface with stakeholders to ensure regulatory and customer requirements
• Stay current with avionics hardware trends to drive innovation
