Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking an Automotive Technician for one of its Auto Service centers. You will inspect, diagnose, and perform automotive services while delivering an excellent guest experience, with opportunities to mentor teammates and learn new technologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of automotive diagnosis, problem-solving and repairs experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• No relocation is being offered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform line technician services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, and full automotive troubleshooting.
• Address brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, A/C, computer systems, and power-train issues; conduct road tests.
• Road test vehicles after repairs to ensure soundness and identify other problems.
• Mentor junior/mid-level technicians and provide clear guest communication.
• Document all work on repair orders and report safety issues immediately.
• Promote teamwork to deliver on-time guest care and adhere to company policies.
• Perform manual tasks including lifting tires, standing, bending and squatting for extended periods.
