Job summary

American Automatic Doors Inc. in Ventura, CA seeks an Automatic Door Technician to install and repair automatic and manual doors across residential, commercial, and government sites. You’ll manage field-based work with ADA/lock systems, respond to priority service calls, and document field reports for the home office.

The role requires strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work weekends, overtime, and on-call shifts. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Physical ability to lift and transport heavy door panels.
• Flexibility to work odd hours, mandatory overtime, and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair automatic pedestrian doors, panic hardware, and electric locks with high quality.
• Integrate access control systems including keypads and maglocks.
• Diagnose mechanical/electrical failures on-site to restore security and functionality.
• Manage service vehicle for rapid, professional response to priority calls.
• Document field reports clearly for home office and clients.
• Coordinate with team during large glazing/storefront projects at sensitive locations.
• Maintain a safe and organized workspace with heavy materials and tools.
