Job summary

Lane Valente Industries is a leading construction and facility maintenance company with offices across the U.S. and Canada. We are seeking an experienced Automatic Door Service Technician in Chicago to service, repair, and maintain ADA operators, doors, and hardware.

Candidates should have at least 2 years in automatic doors, with carpentry skills for framing and installation. AAADM certification is a plus; strong customer service and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience as an automatic door installer or service technician.
• AAADM certification is a plus.
• Carpentry skills: partition framing with metal/wood studs and installation of doors/windows.
• Experience with commercial doors, automatic doors, door hardware, storefront doors, door closers, emergency exit devices, and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and replacements of ADA operators, manual and swing doors, door closers, pivot assemblies, panic hardware, hollow metal, storefront, and automatic folding, swing, and sliding doors.
• Service a variety of doors, equipment, and control devices.
• Utilize carpentry skills for partition framing with metal/wood studs and the installation of doors and windows.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and handle commercial doors, automatic doors, door hardware, storefront doors, door closers, and emergency exit devices.
• Manage multiple projects and work well under time and other constraints.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a team environment as well as independently.
• Ensure strong attention to detail and adherence to processes.
• Provide excellent service orientation to customers.
• Thrive in a highly fast‑paced environment.

Automatic Door Service Technician

Experienced technician for service of automatic doors. AAADM certified preferred. Ability to perform repairs/replacements of ADA operators, manual and swing doors, door closers, pivot assemblies, panic hardware, hollow metal, storefront, and automatic folding, swing, sliding doors.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of servicing a variety of doors, equipment, and control devices.
• AAADM certification is a plus.
• Carpentry skills: partition framing with metal/wood studs and installation of doors/windows.
• Experience with commercial doors, automatic doors, door hardware, storefront doors, door closers, emergency exit devices, and preventative maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Clean driving record required for operating company vehicles.
• Positive, professional attitude and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work well under time and other constraints.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to processes.
• Excellent customer service orientation and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with brand manufacturers such as Horton, Stanley, Record USA, Besam, and Assa Abloy.
