BETA Technologies in Vermont is seeking a Structures Design Engineer on the Advanced Systems team to develop airframe components from concept through flight test. You will translate requirements, loads, and manufacturing constraints into structural designs and controlled product definitions, with onsite work in South Burlington, VT and Raleigh, NC; remote/hybrid options include periodic visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering required.
• 2+ years aircraft structural design or related aerospace experience.
• Proficiency with CATIA, 3DEXPERIENCE, or comparable CAD tools.
• Knowledge of load paths, structural sizing, joints, fasteners, GD&T, configuration control.
• Experience producing detailed CAD drawings and controlled definitions.
• Ability to document assumptions and communicate risks clearly.
• US Person required.

Responsibilities

• Develop primary and secondary airframe components.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD drawings and controlled definitions.
• Translate requirements and loads into structural designs.
• Support structural layout and interface trades.
• Perform sizing and collaborate with Stress to substantiate designs.
• Design for manufacturing, assembly, weight, and cost.
• Coordinate with multiple teams and suppliers.
