Jefferson Health Abington Memorial Hospital is seeking an Advanced Clinical Technician to provide designated direct and indirect patient care under supervision, applying advanced clinical competency and ensuring safety.

You will assist with care coordination, support onboarding of new staff, and help maintain readiness of the clinical environment across approved departments, with focus on diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• 1 year of acute care or similar clinical experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care in interprofessional teams.
• Ability to perform delegated tasks within scope, with advanced skills.
• Commitment to patient safety and continuous skill development.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with interprofessional team, patient, and family to support care delivery and patient flow.
• Performs designated direct and indirect patient care under the direction of licensed clinical team members of approved specialty care departments.
• Expands range of patient care activities aligned with training and department needs within defined scope.
• Applies critical thinking to recognize changes in patient condition and escalates concerns appropriately.
• Supports patient safety by adhering to established protocols and identifying risks.
• Assists with coordination of care activities and patient throughput.
• Maintains required certifications and competencies and guides new staff as appropriate.
• May be assigned virtual safety associate or other support roles as needed.
