Job summary

Jefferson Health’s Abington Memorial Hospital seeks an Advanced Clinical Technician to provide designated patient care under licensed clinicians. This role is the highest technical level in acute nursing within approved departments and emphasizes advanced competency and mandatory certifications.

You will support safe unit operations, onboard staff, and assist in patient throughput while addressing physiological, emotional, and social needs of patients and families in a team-based environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of acute care, clinical experience, or similar patient setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and role in interprofessional care.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with the interprofessional team, patient, family, and care partners to support care delivery.
• Perform direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision.
• Demonstrate advanced clinical competency within the defined scope of role.
• Apply critical thinking to recognize changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately.
• Support patient safety initiatives by following protocols and reducing risks.
• Assist with coordination of care activities and patient throughput.
