Job summary

California State University, Fresno is seeking an Accounting Technician III to join the University Controller/Accounting Services Office. This advanced journey-level role performs complex accounting and customer-service duties, analyzes accounts, reconciles statements, and supports GAAP-compliant financial reporting for students, sponsors, and external agencies.

Reporting to the Director of Student Accounts, the incumbent will assemble, analyze, adjust and reconcile accounts, respond to 1098-T

Qualifications

• Equivalent to four years of progressively responsible financial record-keeping experience.
• Experience working with integrated electronic systems and/or cashiering, key-card, financial, or records-management systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, analyze, adjust, and reconcile student, sponsor and/or collection accounts.
• Respond to eRefund and 1098-T inquiries.
• Daily cash reconciliations.
• Provide training, technical assistance and work direction to staff.
