The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in surgery scheduling, strong communication, and proficient EMR and scheduling software skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience in surgery scheduling.
• Excellent communication and multi-priority management abilities.
• Proficient with surgery scheduling systems and EMR.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the scheduling of all surgeries to optimize operating room use.
• Maintain a paper 7-day surgery schedule.
• Notify parties when changes occur.
• Print and distribute schedules daily.
• Coordinate scheduling with physicians.
• Use EMR to compile data and reports; produce QA statistics.
• Attach orders to patient records and ensure proper documentation.
• Communicate professionally with physicians and staff.
• Collaborate with nursing and ancillary departments.
• Report patient safety issues via occurrence reporting systems.
• Assist in resolving patient concerns.
• Adhere to Code of Conduct and Mission and Values.
