Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services seeks a Psychiatric Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive behavioral health care during 12-hour night shifts at our Albuquerque facility. You will assess mental status, manage crises, and coordinate interdisciplinary care, empowering patients and families through psychoeducation and advocacy.

Qualifications

• NM RN license required.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Stabilizes acute mental health crises and fosters a safe, therapeutic environment for long-term recovery.
• Directs and delegates patient care assignments to nursing staff based on acuity and safety risk levels.
• Collaborates with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and primary care physicians to ensure continuity of care.
• Educates patients and families on their rights, advance directives, and informed consent during admission and care.
• Delivers patient and family teaching on coping strategies, symptom management, and treatment plans.
