Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a compassionate full-time Psychiatrist to join our Adult Intensive Services (AIS) team in Aurora, CO. You will conduct psychiatric evaluations, ongoing medication management, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality behavioral health care.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine / Osteopathy. Successful completion of an accredited residency training program in psychiatry (DO/MDs only).
• Residency in psychiatry (DO/MDs only).
• Preferred: three years of relevant clinical work experience.
• Colorado Medical License or Valid Prescriptive Authority in good standing: active Colorado MD/DO license required.
• Valid and Current DEA.
• Preferred: DEA-X

Responsibilities

• Provide direct medical and psychiatric services through comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Share 24-hour on-call responsibilities with other psychiatrists.
• Maintain availability by telephone for face-to-face evaluation of emergency patients.
• Provide utilization review of all patients in continuing care.
• Attend team meetings and consult with other physicians as needed.
