Job summary

Sagent Behavioral Health in Oshkosh, WI is seeking a Psychiatrist to diagnose, treat, and prevent mental illnesses in adults. The role combines clinical assessment, personalized treatment planning, and medication management in an in-person, full-time setting.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited college or university.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Wisconsin and board certification in Psychiatry.
• Strong diagnostic and assessment skills with in-depth DSM-5 knowledge.
• Knowledge of pharmacological treatments and psychotherapeutic techniques.
• Understanding of medication management protocols, including monitoring and dose adjustments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat various mental health conditions in adults.
• Conduct complete history and physical assessments and follow-up appointments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans including therapy, medication, and lifestyle changes.
• Prescribe and manage medications, monitor effectiveness and side effects.
• Educate patients on medication management and long-term impacts.
• Provide support during acute psychiatric crises and participate in team meetings.
• Maintain a patient-centered, empathetic therapeutic environment.
