Job summary

The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Aging and Disability Services, Bureau of Prevention & Protective Services is seeking an Adult Protective Service Worker to join our team.

This full-time role通常 involves 8:00 AM–4:30 PM hours with occasional overtime, field visits in Polk County, and on-call weekends. A valid driver’s license is required, and home-based work arrangements are possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of social work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in social work with 2 years of experience.
• Master's degree in social work.
• Equivalent combination of graduate education and qualifying experience up to 30 semester hours per one year.

Responsibilities

• Assess ongoing risk to dependent adults and develop safety plans.
• Interacts with law enforcement, medical/mental health partners, and schools.
• Document cases with detailed interviews and narrative reports.
• Manage information requests and respond to inquiries professionally.
