Job summary

Brown University Health seeks an experienced perioperative nurse to deliver high-quality care under the supervision of the Clinical Manager. Responsibilities include pre-op assessment, intraoperative monitoring, post-anesthesia care, and collaborative care planning across teams.

The role requires Rhode Island RN licensure, Baccalaureate in Nursing, and ACLS/PALS; on-call evenings/weekends may apply. This full-time position is based at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.

Qualifications

• RN license in Rhode Island required.
• BLS ACLS/PALS certification; new hires have 1 year to obtain ACLS/PALS.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Experience in pre-operative, PACU, or perioperative settings.

Responsibilities

• Render professional nursing care to peri-operative patients and monitor vitals, meds, IVs and charts.
• Initiate or participate in life-saving procedures as needed.
• Plan and implement patient-specific nursing care plans.
• Evaluate treatment plans and modify as necessary with physician input.
• Ensure pre-operative information and orders are complete and accurate.
