The Northwell Health Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time, Board-Certified Adult Outpatient Psychiatrist for Staten Island University Hospital.
Staten Island University Hospital’s Department of Behavioral Health Sciences provides comprehensive psychiatric care in a private, patient-centered environment. With over 1,450 discharges per year, it is considered one of the most active comprehensive mental health centers on Staten Island.
Our 35-bed inpatient unit offers short-term hospital care to evaluate and stabilize patients with acute psychiatric disorders, focusing on returning patients to normal functioning as soon as possible, while rebuilding self-esteem and social skills.
As part of Northwell Health, Staten Island University Hospital is a 714-bed teaching hospital located in New York City’s fastest-growing borough. It operates across two large campuses and several community-based health centers, providing quality care to Staten Island, the New York metropolitan region, and internationally. It is a major affiliate of the SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn and serves as a clinical campus for the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine.
