Job summary

ETTA, a non-profit, seeks Direct Support Professionals to assist adults with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities in residential group homes in North Hollywood, Valley Village and Sherman Oaks. DSPs provide daily living support, life skills coaching, and transportation assistance as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

2. The starting rate of pay - $20.00 per hours - is within your range;

4. In addition to the daily routines with your client (teaching independent living, life skills coaching, marketing, doctor appointments, outdoor activities, fun outings, etc.), tasks may include meal preparation, making the bed, and assisting your client and others with some housekeeping;
5. Please be aware that Group Homes staff may need to perform some basic "hygiene tasks" (including assisting with toileting if needed) and this would be acceptable to you. The job description includes the following specification: Experience with behaviors preferred (not required). Tasks include assisting both male and female clients with personal hygiene (which can include toileting). [This is not a caregiving position; it is for direct support professionals / support staff.]
