Job summary

ETTA seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist a young man with IDD in our Employment Services - Community Integration Department in Pico-Robertson, West Los Angeles.

The DSP will act as a mentor, role model and friend, supporting daily activities and community outings. Training is provided; starting pay is $20 per hour for part-time schedule 3 days a week.

Qualifications

• Must have some professional or personal experience supporting individuals with special needs.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be a licensed driver for a minimum of three years with a clean driving record.
• Must have your own insured vehicle (with your name listed on proof of insurance as an authorized driver).
• Knowledge of Jewish culture and traditions (preferred, but not required).

Responsibilities

• Direct Support duties include mentoring, role modelling, teaching, and providing friendship.
• Engage the participant in community integration activities and daily living support in West L.A. area.

Mondays / Wednesdays / Fridays 10 a.m. to 1 or 2 p.m. (3-4 hours per day)

Description:

Seeking male staff (for religious reasons) who is fun, active, and outgoing. (i.e. Do you like going to arcades and street fairs?). You will not only be a Direct Support Professional staff, but you will be a mentor, role model, teacher, and friend.

Rate of Pay:

Starting at $20 per hour

Paid Training Provided (weekdays / daytime hours)
