ETTA operates an adult day program in North Hollywood, seeking a Specialized Direct Support Professional with Behaviors expertise to support an adult male client during a weekday schedule. The role offers daytime hours, in-office training, and opportunities to participate in independent living services.

The position starts at $22.00 per hour, with full-time benefits, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off.

POSITION:

Behavior Support Staff

DAYS & HOURS:

Mondays - Fridays

9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Additional Days & Hours (Optional) - Independent Living Services

3 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Saturdays
9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

LOCATION:

North Hollywood and Surrounding Community
(San Fernando Valley)

RATE of PAY:

Starting at $22.00 per hour

*Full time is classified as 30 - 40 hours per week / Day Program Staff qualify for benefits

The Ideal Applicant:

You are compassionate, fun-loving, and are a good communicator. You can learn something and then teach it to others. You are both patient and motivational. You have the ability to use your instincts to sense what is needed at any given moment and adjust accordingly. You enjoy physical exercise (i.e. going for a walk), appreciate music, and engage in fun activities.

Details:

Must be experienced in this field with Behaviors expertise. Seeking applicants who are kind, patient, and adaptable; someone who is personable and would be motivated to help participant pursue their goals and interests. Looking to hire staff who enjoy physical activity (especially walking and basketball); a DSP who is comfortable learning to communicate with someone who is non-verbal.

You Must Answer YES to ALL of the Following:

• Are you available Mondays - Fridays from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.?
• Are you at least 21 years of age?
• Are you a licensed driver (for a minimum of three years)?
• Do you have your own insured vehicle (with your name listed on the proof of insurance as an authorized driver)?
• Are you willing to commute to the North Hollywood area (and surrounding communities)?
• Are you willing to drive your personal vehicle with a client? [Mileage reimbursement provided at current California rate]
• Are you willing to drive a COMPANY VAN on the job with multiple clients?
• Are you available for 3-to-10 days of in-office training at ETTA offices in North Hollywood (Mondays - Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. / half days may be possible upon request)?
