Part-Time Evening Position

Exeter Adult Education is seeking a qualified Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to serve as the instructor for our Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Training Program.

This is a part-time evening teaching position responsible for delivering a portion of the BACB-aligned 40-hour RBT training program to adult learners preparing for a career supporting students and individuals through behavior-analytic services.

Schedule:
Thursday evenings, 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Exeter Adult Education, 30 Linden Street, Building D, Exeter, NH

Primary Responsibilities

The RBT Instructor will:

  • Teach and facilitate the BACB 40-hour RBT training curriculum.
  • Provide engaging, practical instruction using discussion, modeling, role-play, demonstrations, case examples, and other behavioral skills training strategies.
  • Prepare students for the knowledge and skills required to pursue RBT certification.
  • Monitor student participation, progress, and completion of required training hours.
  • Provide feedback and support to adult learners throughout the program.
  • Maintain accurate training and attendance documentation.
  • Collaborate with Exeter Adult Education staff to support student success and program development.
  • Ensure training is delivered in accordance with current BACB requirements.

Required RBT Training Content

The instructor(s) will deliver the current BACB 2026 RBT 40-Hour Training Curriculum, including:

A. Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis 2 hours

  • Purpose and features of applied behavior analysis
  • Stimuli, responses, and the three-term contingency
  • Positive and negative reinforcement
  • Functions of behavior
  • Verbal operants
  • Baseline, intervention, generalization, and maintenance

B. Preparing for Service Delivery 1 hour

  • Reviewing client and session information
  • Preparing the service environment and materials
  • Building rapport and gaining assent
  • Preparing clients for service delivery

C. Data Collection and Graphing 3 hours

  • Observable and measurable descriptions of behavior
  • Operational definitions

D. Assisting with Behavior Assessments 3 hours
