Job summary

Pathstone Corporation seeks a capable instructor/coordinator to support the Pathways Out of Poverty initiative. The role involves assessing students, developing individualized plans, and coordinating job readiness and computer literacy activities.

You will collaborate with staff, complete documentation, recruit participants, conduct training, and promote the program in the community. Evening or weekend availability and a valid driver’s license may be required to support outreach activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and prior experience in teaching academic skills/certification and/or 3 years of comparable work experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with staff, participants, volunteers and community members.
• Complete reports.
• Develop systems/procedures to meet the need of program.
• Assess/Evaluate client’s skills throughout enrollment.
• Must be able to assess students.
• Interprets needs of clients through interview.
• Determine which steps, methods and procedures among several prescribed options are required to fulfill an identified project program or management objective.
• Develop individual plans to meet needs of the student (Job Readiness, ABE/GED, and/or Computer Literacy).
• Attend required meetings.
• Must complete and submit required documentation i.e. itinerary, work plans case notes including student progress, in a neat and timely manner.
• Complete Pre and Post-Test Assessments for all enrolled participants.
• Recruitment and Enrollment of Pathways Out of Poverty Eligible Participants.
• Conduct training for staff, volunteers and interns for adult education activities.
• Ongoing outreach and promotion of the program to the community, and the private sector.
