Job summary

Lantern Community Services is seeking an Adult Development Specialist to provide person-centered support to adult residents across housing sites in Brooklyn and Manhattan. You will guide residents toward educational and employment goals, life skill development, and stable community engagement.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Case Managers and Housing Specialists, with a focus on holistic, holistic support and self-sufficiency. Full-time, 9–5, with potential schedule adjustments.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–3 years in social services, adult education, or supportive housing.

Responsibilities

• Engage residents individually at assigned sites to support goals across entitlements, finances, mental wellness, health, and education.
• Develop and facilitate workshops on life skills, ADLs, mental health awareness, time management, and financial literacy.
• Collaborate with Resident Learning leadership and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate services.
• Maintain accurate records in Lantern's EHR and collaborate on program evaluations.
