Job summary

AbilityPath in the Bay Area is looking for a Direct Support Professional to join our Adult Day Program as a Community & Site Program Instructor. You’ll lead group activities on-site and in the community, coaching adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities to build skills, confidence, and independence.

This full-time role offers a 6- or 8-hour shifts between 8:30am and 5:00pm, with locations including Palo Alto, Burlingame, and Daly City, and a pay rate of $24–$25 per hour based on

Qualifications

• 1+ years of work or volunteer experience supporting adults with disabilities.
• Associate degree, or working toward one.

Responsibilities

• Coach life skills through one-on-one and group sessions.
• Lead community volunteering and outings to parks, museums, and events.
• Support health and wellness activities and promote healthy habits.
• Design learning sessions on topics like current events, basic academics, technology, and social skills.
• Build job readiness through pre-vocational training and workplace etiquette.
• Foster creative expression with art and music activities.
• Track progress and update plans with clients and families.
