Job summary

Washington County Hospital and Nursing Home is hiring an Activities Aide for adult day care. You will lead structured activities, assist with meals, and help with transportation to enhance residents' quality of life. A CNA license, Alabama driver's license, and good communication skills are required; HR contact is provided for application.

Shifts are days, Monday through Friday, with PRN/Pool options. Prior experience in a healthcare activities program is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Alabama driver’s license required.
• CNA license required.
• Clear driving record.
• 1+ year experience in a resident activities program preferred.
• Ability to speak effectively before large groups.
• Efficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a minimum of 5 hours of structured activities per day (exercise, crafts, games) to improve quality of life.
• Assist clients with all needs and provide meals/feedings as needed.
• Assist with transportation when required.

Activities Aide ADULT DAY CARE The activity aide will assist in providing a minimum of 5 hours of structured activities such as exercise with clients, helping them with crafts or projects, assisting with playing games, and provide meaningful activities that help improve the quality of life for the clients. Aides will assist clients with all needs, as well as assist with meals and feedings as needed. Must be willing to assist with transportation.
