Job summary

DLU Healthcare is seeking an Activities Aide to support the Director of Activities in delivering engaging programs for residents. You will work on units with minimal supervision, helping to organize activities, manage supplies, and document participation to ensure residents receive meaningful engagement.

Responsibilities include assisting in setting up program areas, guiding residents to locations, and performing duties as assigned to support quality elder care in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and energy are a must.
• Strong computer skills are required.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Evening, weekend and holiday availability is required.
• CNA license is encouraged but not required.

Activities Aide

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Functions under the direct supervision of the Director of Activities. Responsible for completion of functions of the Activities Department and responsible for the overall execution of activities within the facility.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES (Including but not limited to):

• Implement and complete activities programs for Residents; focus on individual preferences
• Work directly with residents on units; without direct supervision
• Organize and obtain supplies and equipment as requested
• Assist activities director & set up program areas as needed
• Keep daily attendance and document resident participation in activities
• Assist residents to program location and return residents to appropriate units
• Any other duties assigned by the Director of Activities

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

• Previous experience with Geriatric population preferred
• Experience with activities in a healthcare setting is preferred
