Job summary

Palms Behavioral Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate I to work under the supervision of a licensed nurse in our onsite facility. You will monitor patient behaviors, provide continuous care, assist with daily living activities, and participate in crisis response as needed.

Responsibilities include safety checks, timely charting, de-escalation techniques, and support for educational-rehabilitative groups.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience with the facility's population preferred.
• Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and provide a structured, supportive environment under supervision.
• Monitor patients and document observations for clinical review.
• Assist with activities of daily living and basic care tasks as needed.
• Conduct safety checks and report changes to the clinical team.
• Record vital signs accurately and communicate significant changes.
• Assist in patient education and group activities focused on coping and living skills.
• Support transportation and transfer of patients as required.
• Prepare and file patient charts and incident reports.
