Sylvania is seeking an Adult Basic Education Teacher to provide in-person English instruction for adults at level 2A in Minnesota. You will plan lessons, assess progress, monitor attendance, and maintain student records while collaborating with staff and volunteers.

Requires K12/ABE license or MA TESOL with related credentials. Evening schedule listed; position is part-time and grant-funded.

Qualificações

• Licensed teacher credentials in the education field.

Adult Basic Education Teacher

Part Time - 133 days, 4.75 hrs per day [4pm - 8:45pm]

Duties

Provide direct instruction in-person to adults learning English as a Second Language in level 2A. Responsibilities include lesson planning and instruction, conducting ongoing assessments, monitoring student attendance, attending staff meetings, collaborating with other staff, keeping student records, and supporting volunteers. Implement the CCRS/ACES/NorthStar standards. Other duties as assigned. This position is funded through a multi-year grant, IELCE.

Rate of Pay

$33.84 and up. Rate is based on full-time equivalency and verified placement on the salary schedule, with 1.0 FTE being full time.
