Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer Intern (Performance Monetization) for Summer 2027 in San Jose. You will participate in building a large-scale ads system and advance state-of-the-art ML projects, owning key targeting components within the monetization ecosystem.

You will collaborate with product and business teams to shape product vision. The General Hire track offers broader exposure across subteams to match you with the best fit.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Experience in and good theoretical grounding in machine learning concepts and techniques.
• Excellent programming, debugging, and optimization skills in one or more general purpose languages (Go, C/C++, Python).
• Experience in frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, MXNet, etc.
• Ability to think critically and formulate solutions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development of a large-scale Ads system.
• Develop state-of-the-art applied machine learning projects.
• Own key targeting components or strategies in the TikTok ads monetization ecosystem.
