Caring for Kids, Inc. is seeking a passionate full-time social worker to join the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids team. You will serve youth in custody across Ohio counties, focusing on finding adoptive families for older and hard-to-place youth.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or higher, child welfare experience, and Ohio licensure preferred. Flexible, work-from-home options with some travel and evening hours, compensation commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
• Experience in child welfare, foster care or adoption is required; 3+ years preferred.
• Ohio licensure preferred (LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC or equivalent).
• Adoption assessor training preferred.
• Reside in Northeast Ohio preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a clean driving record required.

Responsabilités

• Thorough case record review.
• Meet with the youth monthly to develop trust and rapport.
• Build a support network by meeting with significant adults and past connections.
• Identify interested individuals and potential permanency connections.
• Customize recruitment activities and assess readiness for adoption.
• Prepare youth for placement and educate families about needs.
• Plan post-placement services and support.
• Attend agency meetings and Dave Thomas Foundation events.
