Job summary

SJRC Texas is seeking a Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Recruiter to identify adoptive homes for children in foster care and support families through finalizing adoptions under the Dave Thomas Foundation recruitment model. You will recruit, meet monthly with children, liaise with Adoption Specialists, and travel extensively to engage with networks and agencies to secure placements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 60/90 college credits with relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Child Welfare or related field preferred.
• Experience in Texas DFPS or related child welfare settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit potential adoptive homes for children in foster care.
• Maintain regular contact with child networks and caregivers.
• Coordinate court dates and provide updates for court proceedings.
• Travel up to 95% of the work week to engage with families and stakeholders.
• Prepare and document case files and recruitment plans.
• Attend trainings and conferences as scheduled.
