Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; degrees preferred in psychology-related fields.
• 3+ years related work experience in kids and families.
• Valid driver's license with required auto insurance.
• Knowledge of case management and mental health billing.
• Knowledge of peer-to-peer support or mentoring.
• Strong coaching, organizational, and collaborative skills.
• Ability to work evenings/weekends and travel.

Responsibilities

• Identify youth for referrals to Wendy's Wonderful Kids program.
• Review case records and interview youth, caseworker, other agency staff and family members to assist recruitment.
• Develop initial written adoption readiness assessment describing youth’s understanding and feelings about adoption.
• Create child-focused recruitment plans for the youth.
• Meet with the youth monthly and maintain monthly contact with the caseworker.
• Meet with family members and supportive connections to discuss progress of locating permanent resources.
• Assist with transition planning and placement support with matched family.
• Ensure adoptive family progress towards finalization with the caseworker.
• Attend WWK trainings and submit monthly data to WWK database.
