Job summary

Lincolnshire County Council is seeking an experienced Practice Supervisor to lead our adoption services, applying the Signs of Safety approach to support families and staff. The post oversees the Adoption and Special Guardianship support fund, and drives regional innovations with national linkages to Adoption England.

You will work in a hybrid arrangement with a focus on safeguarding, partnership work, and improving outcomes for children.

Qualifications

• Registered social worker with valid Social Work England registration.
• Experience in adoption services or child welfare is preferred.
• Ability to engage stakeholders and families with empathy and cultural sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee council use of Adoption and Special Guardianship support fund.
• Develop and review local, regional, and pan-regional innovations in adoption services.
• Support adults seeking access to records and birth families; manage staying-in-touch arrangements.
