Job summary

Fredericksburg Regional Center is seeking an Adoption Case Manager to provide intensive casework and group support for adoptive families and special needs youth. The role includes assessments, counseling, crisis intervention, and advocacy within a culturally competent framework.

You will maintain records, work with partner agencies, and participate in after-hours emergencies as required. A Master’s in social work or a related field with appropriate experience is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or related field with 1 year direct service experience.
• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field with 2 years direct service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessments of families and children’s strengths, needs, and adoption issues.
• Deliver casework and counseling services to adoptive families and youth.
• Maintain case records per agency standards with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with public/private agencies to advocate for permanency and support.
• Provide on-call crisis intervention and after-hours coverage as needed.
• Document progress with detailed notes during supervision and progress reviews.
• Develop and monitor family service plans to meet goals and needs.
