Job summary

The Cradle is seeking an Adoption Home Study Support Specialist to act as the first point of contact for prospective adoptive parents and to facilitate information meetings. You will support applicants with home study documentation and obtain required background checks.

You will create and maintain client files, coordinate with counselors, schedule guest speakers, assist with course activities, and interface with attorneys to move adoptions forward.

Qualifications

• Commitment to The Cradle’s mission and values.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a human service organization or related setting.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience providing administrative support to a team.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Effective communication via video call, phone, email, and text.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with learning databases.

Responsibilities

• Serve as initial contact for clients considering applying to The Cradle for their home study and/or placement services.
• Host Information Meetings and respond to inquiries from prospective adoptive parents.
• Support applicants in completing and submitting home study documents.
• Assist clients in obtaining required background checks.
• Create and maintain client files and digital records.
• Collaborate with counselors conducting home study assessments.
• Identify and schedule guest speakers for Information Meetings and other trainings.
• Support instructors with pre/post course activities and tracking completions.
• Conduct file reviews and manage document flow with adoption attorneys.
